Wet Tech provides an experienced offshore team and the entire compliment of vessel services and survey to tackle these important services that are designed to prolong the service duration that a buoy and its mooring system are capable of meeting the demands of the demanding offshore environmental conditions.
Wet Tech has been designing and fabricating buoy systems for a wide variety of industries. With onsite departments here at our main facility, we have a full service fabrication facility, blasting/coating facilities, an electronics integration department and a full service mooring department for facilitation of providing a buoy systems that meet the requirements of our customers’ unique applications.
Wet Tech provides buoy overhaul services which include abiding by a stringent and proven system of cleaning/blasting, fabrication/hull repair, priming/coating and re-integration of all required navigational systems back onboard the buoy. We have experience with steel, aluminum and foam constructed systems and also hold the federal contract for buoy overhaul services for the U.S. Coast Guard’s steel buoys in Districts 1, 5, 7 and 11. These critical services allow for steel buoys to be repurposed for years and years, some even being active for over 50 years since their original construction.
